THOMAS J. WALSH, Energy Engineer
Mr. Walsh serves as an Energy Engineer at MEI, in which capacity he provides a range of services and expertise to clients in areas including energy audits, data analysis and review of alternative energy and other technologies such as energy efficient roofing materials and daylighting systems for warehouses and manufacturing facilities. Mr. Walsh has contributed to MEI's work on the PA Act 129 Statewide Evaluation Team, including reviewing the Act's enabling legislation, reviewing proposed changes to the state's Technical Reference Manual, and reviewing program submittals by the Electric Distribution Companies working to meet the Act's guidelines. While in college, Mr. Walsh interned at Mondre Energy and prepared reports on Marcellus Shale, new solar technologies, and energy deregulation. His experience also includes research in nanotechnologies and solid oxide fuel cells. Mr. Walsh is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a BS in Materials Science and Engineering and minored in Engineering Entrepreneurship and Mathematics. He was a member of the school's Professional Engineering Fraternity. He is also an Eagle Scout.
